The Paunar Village is a testimony to the ancient history of Wardha. Situated on the banks of river Dham, the village was named after a legendary Rajput King who went by the name Pawan. Some major attractions of the Paunar Village are the Paramdham Ashram and the Gandhi Kuti.
Acharya Vinoba Bhave’s ashes can also be found in a memorial here. The Paunar Village is located around 8 km away from the town of Wardha.
