Moghalrajpuram Caves are said to have been discovered in the 5th century AD during an evacuation. It is one of its kind in the whole of South India. The caves have five rock-cut sanctuaries. The caves are in ruins presently. The caves house the idols of Lord Nataraja and Lord Vinayaka and hence, draw a lot of devotees due to their religious importance.
