Sem Mukhem Temple, Tehri

Sem Mukhem Temple is perched at an elevation of 2903 m on a hilltop. It is dedicated to the snake god, Nag Raja, and holds special significance for the local people. Tourists can reach the temple by a trek of 7 km from Khamba Khal, which is connected to Tehri by a 64 km long motorable road.

Accommodation facilities are provided to the guests by the Pandas or the temple priests of the Mukhem village, which is located at a distance of 2 km from Khamba Khal. An uphill trek of 5 km from this village leads to the Sem Mukhem Temple.
