Kaleshwar Mahadev Temple, Pragpur

Kaleshwar Mahadev Temple is an ancient temple located in the Kangra District in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Situated at a distance of 8 km from the village of Pragpur, the temple is dedicated to the worship of the Hindu deity, Shiva.

This temple enshrines a unique ‘lingam’, a symbol of Shiva, which is found deep below the ground level. The walls of the temple are decorated with magnificent monuments and hold many antique tombs. The temple is also popularly known as the Maha Rudra of Mata Chintapurni.
