Gurudwara Gurpartap, Nawanshehr

Gurudwara Gurpartap, located in the village of Thana Behram, was built to commemorate the visit of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji – the ninth Sikh guru. The land for the gurudwara was donated by Maharaja Ranjit Singh, who was nicknamed the ‘Lion of Punjab’.

To resolve the problem of water storage in the region, Babaji got a well constructed, which still exists within the premises. The gurudwara is managed by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and is located around 10 km from the Rahon Railway Station.
