Panchachuli Glacier is located in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. Situated on the eastern part of Kumaon, this glacier is made up of a group of snow covered mountains and is counted amongst one of the prominent attractions of the region.
The glacier can be reached from Sobla bus terminal, which is located at a distance of 134 km from Pithoragarh and 35 km from Dharchula. A 40 km trek from Sobla reaches Panchachuli Glacier. The trekking route passes through snow enveloped mountains and Alpine meadows. The tourism authorities of this glacier encourage tourists to stay at the places of the villagers for better understanding of the culture and the region.
