Maiser Khana, located 29 km away from the district of Bathinda, is a temple dedicated to Goddesses Durga and Jwala Ji. According to a folklore, there once was a devotee named Kamala, who could not complete his pilgrimage to the temple.
Hence, he performed a lifelong penance to please the Goddess, who ultimately appeared in front of him twice in a year. To mark this, two fairs are organised at the site that are attended by a large number of tourists from different parts of the country.
